The 10,200-square-foot facility, named for major athletic department benefactor Donald R.
Shepherd, opened last spring. The $5.3 million facility includes locker rooms, offices for the
coaching and support staffs, a team meeting area and athletic medicine and fitness spaces.

all the pieces in place. Now that he
has, we've got a wonderful basket-
ball program that is competing at the
highest level and is bringing us a lot
of excitement during the regular sea-
son, in the race for the Big Ten cham-
pionship, and at tournament time. It
just doesn't get any better than that."
