MICHIGAN RECRUITING end), and is the final five-star in Ri- vals 2015 rankings that is still consid- ering the Wolverines. Lucier-South is a longtime Michi- gan fan that made his first trip to Ann Arbor for the Oct. 11 night game against Penn State. Along with the rest of his family, the five-star pros- pect enjoyed his official visit. Despite Michigan's struggles on the field in 2014, Lucier-South holds the Wolverines in high regard. U-M and UCLA have long been consid- ered his favorites over fellow finalists Oklahoma, Florida and Notre Dame, and the official visit didn't do any- thing to knock U-M from that status. However, another hometown school, USC, is back in the mix, and could make a run, as well. Lucier-South plans to take all five of his allotted official visits before coming to a college decision, and then make his commitment at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Jan. 3 in San Antonio. ❏ MISCELLANEOUS NOTES • Michigan's coaching staff hasn't wrapped up it 2015 class yet, but already the Wolverines are casting an eye toward the future. U-M has two pledges — four-star quarterback Messiah deWeaver of Trotwood (Ohio) Madison and offensive lineman Erik Swenson of Downers Grove (Ill.) South — and a number of active offers to other players in the class. The two newest junior offerees are both wide receivers. Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake prospect Theo Howard is a 5-11, 168-pounder
