  MICHIGAN FOOTBALL MATT WILE FINDING CONFIDENCE, CONSISTENCY Michigan kicker Matt Wile started the season 1 of 4 on field goals at- tempts, including two misses at Notre Dame that deflated an offense that moved the ball decently in the first half. There was a commonality to all three of his misses — they came from the right hash mark, a spot he admitted had become his nemesis. Head coach Brady Hoke even said as much in the postgame after Wile missed both of his field goals from the right hash, calling it something Wile had to "straighten out." The coaches continued to challenge Wile in practice, and it's paid off. The senior was 8 of 12 on field goals heading into the Oct. 25 game with Michigan State. "Dan Ferrigno does a really good job with him," Hoke said of his spe- cial teams coach. "Dan understands a little more the mechanics of it, all those things.
