F • Ricky Doyle 6-9 • 245 Cape Coral, Fla. Assistant coach Ba- cari Alexander: "A lot of bigs tend to struggle in crowds until they get to their junior and senior years, where it becomes a new normal for them. That's something that Ricky brings with him right away." Honors & Awards: Ranked as a three- star prospect by Rivals.com … Received first-team 4A all-state honors from the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches as a senior after averaging 24.8 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 assists per game for a Vikings team that went 15-10 and lost in the district tournament … Missed 20 games as a junior after suffering a foot injury, but averaged 21.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game when he did play … Earned first-team all-state honors from the FABC as a sophomore after averaging 15.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game for a Vikings team that went 25-5 and advanced to the Florida Class 4A regional final … Set Bishop Verot career records in both points scored (1,623) and rebounds (775). G • Austin Hatch 6-6 • 215 Fort Wayne, Ind. Assistant coach Jeff Meyer: "Austin has gone through a tremendous amount, but his patience, attitude and effort is al- ways at 100 percent. He is aware he is a work in progress … but for him to be able to step on the court and wear that Michigan uniform, it's something he dreamed about." Honors & Awards: Was granted an additional year of eligibility and trans- ferred to Loyola High School in Califor- nia … Did not play varsity basketball as a senior or a junior due to injuries suffered in a plane crash … Was the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel Prep Sports Player of the Year as a sophomore after averaging 23.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in leading Canterbury High School to a 17-5 record and the first Indiana Northeast Class A sectional title in school history.
