people listen. We've kind of earned our stripes here. We're juniors now. We have
respect among some of the other guys in the locker room.
"Caris is just a really good kid. He's always helping out the younger guys. That
kind of stuff goes a long way."
The Wolverine: If you're shy, why is it that Beilein called you very outgoing?
Albrecht: (With a laugh) "Amongst each other. I'm not like some crazy, rah-rah
guy, but when I'm in my comfort zone … that's something the trip to Italy really
helped with. It created that comfort zone, that atmosphere. You got to know
each other, and you feel a lot more comfortable around your teammates."
The Wolverine: You've earned a Big Ten championship ring, a trip to the
NCAA title game and an Elite Eight berth in just two seasons here. Some people
see this as a rebuilding year. Do you push back against that notion, insisting
there shouldn't be a slide backward?
Albrecht: "Not in an added-pressure sense, but definitely. You're representing
yourself, but you're representing Michigan and those who came before you. We
don't want to be a team that drops off."

During his first two seasons with the program, Albrecht has helped Michigan to a 59-17
overall record and a 27-9 mark in the Big Ten.
