WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD Michigan scored a second‑place finish at the Big Ten Indoor Cham‑ pionships Feb. 27‑28, earning the p ro g r a m ' s s e c o n d c o n s e c u t i v e runner‑up finish and the 17th top‑ three performance in coach James Henry's 31 seasons … Junior Cindy Ofili defended her title in the 60‑me‑ ter hurdles with a winning time of 8.15 seconds while placing fourth in the 60‑meter dash and fifth in the 200‑meter dash … U‑M went 2‑3‑4 in the 800‑meter run, led by junior Dan‑ ielle Pfeifer, and also scored second‑ place efforts in the mile (senior Brook Handler) and the distance medley relay … Ofili and her older sister, Tif‑ fany (2007‑09), have now combined for all five of Michigan's conference victories in the 60‑meter hurdles … The Wolverines' distance medley re‑ lay placed third at the NCAA Cham‑ pionships March 13 with a time of 10:58.64, garnering All‑America hon‑ WRESTLING (8-6, 4-5 BIG TEN) No. 14 Michigan finished fourth at the Big Ten Championships March 7‑8, recording its highest team finish since placing third in 2009 … Sophomore Domenic Abounader was the top individual performer for the Maize and Blue, tak‑ ing the 184‑pound title with a 3‑0 record to become the first Wolverine in school history to claim the conference victory in that weight class … Soph‑ omore heavyweight Adam Coon finished third, while teammates freshman Alec Pantaleo (149 pounds, fourth), fifth‑year senior Max Huntley (197 pounds, fifth), sophomore Brian Murphy (157 pounds, fifth) and redshirt sophomore Conor Youtsey (125 pounds, fifth) also placed top five in their respective weight classes … Abounader could become Michigan's first 184‑pound All‑American since Tyrel Todd in 2008 when he leads nine U‑M qualifiers to the NCAA Championships March 19‑21 in St. Louis.
