M essiah deWeaver committed to Michigan in June 2014 and was excited to take the lead role in bring- ing other recruits into the fold for his class. A lot has changed since then. Jim Harbaugh is now the head coach of the Wolverines; deWeaver has transferred high schools from Trotwood-Madison in Trotwood, Ohio, to Wayne High in Huber Heights, Ohio; and the four-star sig- nal-caller is no longer committed to Michigan. When deWeaver decommitted from the Maize and Blue in late Janu- ary, it gave Harbaugh a chance to go out and find his own quarterback for the 2016 class, and a few prospects are starting to rise to the top. Costello, but time may be running out with Rivals.com's No. 25 over- all prospect nationally. With Costello looking like a miss, attention likely will shift to Avon (Ind.) High's Brandon Peters.
