Occupation: Ann is a former high school teacher and Guil- ford County Community Col- lege instructor. Don is in com- puter project management with Lorillard Tobacco Company. Family: Daughter Kathryn and son-in-law John Coiro of Wilmington, N.C. Three cats. Kathryn and John like coming to football games and basketball games. Hobbies/interests: Wolfpack sports (lifetime rights to football and basketball); Don likes golf, Ann likes the beach and runs the Guilford County Wolfpack Club Tickets exchange and Web site. Both are lifetime members of the NC State Alumni Association. Don and Ann Smith Accomplishments: Don is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Lorillard Federal Credit Union, and Ann is a Clover Garden Charter School Board member. They chair the Guilford County Wolfpack Club and won the JW Abernathy Award. How did you become a Wolfpack fan? Ann was born into a Wolfpack family. Don became a fan watching David Thompson play ball while dating Ann. Why did you decide to get involved with the Wolfpack Club? We have given financially to the Wolfpack Club for years, but became more involved after our athlete daughter, Kathryn, graduated from Northwest Guilford High School, and we had more time. Bonnie McNeill asked us to be reps. Why should someone that's not a member join the Wolfpack Club? The enter- tainment student-athletes give to us fans and alumni is well worth the money and time spent supporting them. Plus, we want student-athletes to have the ability to earn a great education at a great university. Do you have any favorite game-day traditions? Tailgating with friends, eating at the Alumni Tent and visiting with friends. Who is your favorite all-time stu- dent-athlete? Ann: Torry and Terrence Holt because of their accessibility to fans, participation in the Wolfpack Club and all the memories they provided on the football field.
