"He's the first one out at practice, whether it's catching punts or going over footwork drills. He's always just looking to improve his game." That attitude reminds some of former Irish defensive back Todd Lyght, who is now the defensive backs coach in South Bend. Lyght was known throughout his career as a selfless player that put the team first. He said when Kelly first hired him back in February that he was looking to recruit prospects with that same type of vision and, according to Love, that's what made Notre Dame even more attractive. "Coach Lyght is a very cool guy," Love said. "We talked on the phone [a few times] and he basically just told FILM ANALYSIS Strengths Has excellent ball skills … Has the ability to break on the ball in the air and make a play on it … Projects as a cornerback, but has seen time at multiple positions in the secondary … Quick … Makes "football smart" plays … Physical when he wants to be at the line of scrimmage … Elusive with the ball in his hands and can double as a returner.
