That attitude reminds some of former
Irish defensive back Todd Lyght, who is
now the defensive backs coach in South
Bend. Lyght was known throughout
his career as a selfless player that put
the team first. He said when Kelly first
hired him back in February that he was
looking to recruit prospects with that
same type of vision and, according to
Love, that's what made Notre Dame
even more attractive.
"Coach Lyght is a very cool guy,"
Love said. "We talked on the phone [a
few times] and he basically just told
