FOOTBALL RECRUITING lineman that is equally adept at pass and run blocking. He can move the pile or protect the passer. DE MARLON DAVIDSON 6-3, 279 • Greenville (Ala.) High School Five-star prospect, No. 1 player in Ala- bama, and No. 1 strongside defensive end and No. 2 overall recruit nationally Davidson, one of the Southeast's top prospects, has expressed legitimate in‑ terest in Michigan. He plans to visit in the summer. A big holdup? He has con‑ nections to both in‑state Auburn (older brother Ken Carter played there) and Alabama, so Michigan will have to beat out some stiff competition. Davidson is a huge defensive end who may grow into a tackle at the next level. At either position, he has the size to hold up the line, and the quickness to get off the ball and close the pocket. LB LYNDELL "MACK" WILSON 6-1, 230 • Montgomery (Ala.) Carver Five-star recruit, No. 3 player in Ala- bama, and No. 3 outside linebacker and No. 16 overall prospect nationally Wilson will make his second appear‑ ance at the Five‑Star Challenge af‑ ter participating in last year's event. Though he holds a Michigan offer, he hasn't expressed more than passing in‑ terest in the Maize and Blue. He does plan to attend Michigan's satellite camp in Prattville, Ala., which could give the staff a chance to warm up his feelings toward the program. Wilson is an athletic outside line ‑ backer with speed to rush the passer or drop into coverage, and the size to defend the run. S DEVON HUNTER (2017) 6-1, 206 • Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River Five-star prospect Michigan was one of the first programs to offer Hunter, but he'll have options with just about every school in the country when the time comes for him to commit. He plans to take an unofficial visit this sum‑ mer, along with 2016 teammate Jaquan Yulee, who is also strongly considering the Maize and Blue. Harbaugh and Co. would be more than happy to land both talented prospects. Hunter may grow into an athletic line‑ backer in college, but is a big, rangy safety for the time being. WR AHMIR MITCHELL 6-3, 208 • Egg Harbor City (N.J.) Cedar Creek Four-star recruit, No. 3 player in New Jersey, and No. 8 wide receiver and No. 50 overall prospect nationally Mitchell visited Ann Arbor along with several other players from New Jersey during spring practice in March, and the Wolverines' focus on New Jersey could benefit their case for Mitchell. With more familiar faces in town, the athletic receiver may feel more comfortable making the move west. He is a big, athletic prospect who is still refining his receiver skills, but has plenty of natural potential. TE NASEIR UPSHUR 6-3, 234 • Philadelphia Imhotep Charter Four-star prospect, No. 2 player in Penn- sylvania, and No. 3 tight end and No. 61 overall recruit nationally
