Morgan (No. 4 St. John Bosco in Bellflower, Calif.), run‑ ning back Tony Jones and safety Spencer Perry (No. 5 IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.), outside linebacker Jamir Jones (No. 23 Aquinas Institute in Rochester, N.Y.), and long snapper John Shannon (No. 24 Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Ill.). 9 Rushing touchdowns by Notre Dame quarterbacks Tony Rice in 1988 and Rick Mirer in 1991, the most by an Irish signal‑caller during the season, including bowl games. Sophomore DeShone Kizer entered the Nov. 21 game at Boston College with eight, giv‑ ing him an opportunity to break the mark over the final three (and hopefully four) contests. 10 Semifinalists named prior to the Nov. 21 weekend for the Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver, with Notre Dame junior Will Fuller among them. Golden Tate won the award as a junior for Notre Dame in 2009 before turning pro.
