Chesson obviously becomes the highest of the "High Risers" this season — those who were underestimated in the preseason and came through when it counted. Here's a look at five of them, in addition to the full top 25 with before and after rankings. HIGH RISERS 1. Jehu Chesson, R-Jr., WR — Unranked to MVP pretty much says it all. Chesson looked to be enjoying every moment of the season, but as a team player, rather than reveling in individual success. He noted he was "blessed" to be part of the 2015 crew, but that works both ways. 2. Kenny Allen, R-Jr., PK — Allen wasn't ranked in the preseason because there wasn't any outward assur- ance he'd even nail down the placekicking job. He did and came through consistently all year for the Wolverines, even stepping in as a punter dur- ing the Citrus Bowl. Allen be- came one of the great finds for Harbaugh's staff, and he figures significantly into the planning for 2016. 3. Ryan Glasgow, R-Jr., NT — Glasgow went from ranked No. 18 in our pre - season issue to No. 8 in the final tally. Michigan took a step back on the defensive line for a bit when Glasgow tore his pectoral muscle late in the season. He'd emerged to the point of really making his presence known at nose tackle. His rehabilitation progress will be followed carefully in the weeks and months to come because he can be a difference maker as a fifth-year senior for the Wolverines. 4. Sione Houma, Sr., FB — Houma went from unranked before the season to No. 15 at the end. He carved out a nice niche as a senior, doing some block- ing and running at fullback for the Wolverines. He wishes he had another year Redshirt junior wideout Jehu Chesson more than doubled his numbers entering the 2015 season (29 catches, 375 yards, one touchdown), hauling in 50 passes for 764 yards and nine scores.
