he U‑M men's golf team received
its second straight NCAA Re‑
gional bid and will travel to Frank‑
lin, Tenn., to compete May 16‑18 at
the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Head
coach Chris Whitten is excited for the
opportunity.
"I really like our team this year,"
he said. "We have senior leadership,
and we have someone from every
class in our starting lineup, which I
personally like. This is the first year
since I've been coach that we actually
had some expectations coming into
the season.
"In the past I think we were hoping
that we were a good team, but this
