COMMITMENT PROFILE Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four- star defensive tackle Aubrey Solo- mon has offers from, among others, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ole Miss, North Car- olina and Ohio State. Out of all of them, he picked Michigan. Solomon's decision to commit to Michigan sur- prised his head coach Dean Fabrizio. "We try to help our kids and guide them in the pro- cess, but we leave those deci- sions completely up to them and their families" Fabrizio said. "I think it was a big surprise to everybody that he committed to Michigan. I knew he was going up there but didn't expect a commit- ment. He's visited a lot of places, and he's jumbled his list around. "He's had a couple differ- ent No. 1's in his mind, but he had never committed any- where. He obviously liked it a lot up there and felt comfortable." The 6-4, 287-pounder committed to Michigan while he was on cam- pus and joined fellow four-stars Luiji Vilain and Corey Malone-Hatcher as 2017 defensive line commits. As the No. 4 defensive tackle and No. 91 overall prospect in the country, Solo- mon is the highest-rated commit on the defensive side of the ball. Rivals. com Southeast recruiting analyst Woody Wommack has seen Solomon several time sand is a big fan. "He's a huge kid size-wise," Wom- mack said. "He has such great raw, physical abilities for a kid his size. That's what makes him special and is the reason he's so highly ranked. "He needs to show a more con- sistent motor, but he's got all of the physical abilities to be very, very good." Wommack was also impressed that Michigan was able to land a kid out of SEC country with so many high- profile offers from within that con- ference.
