The main rival of the Giants in the Na- tional League West are the Los Angeles Dodgers, and that is where former Virginia standout infielder Chris Taylor found him- self after he was traded by Seattle to the Dodgers in June. "It has been really exciting," Taylor said before a game against the Nationals in Washington. "It seems like a really good group in the few weeks I have been here. It has been an awesome experience. The staff and players have been great." Taylor, who also spent some time in Tri- ple-A Oklahoma City with the Dodgers, has been a key backup at short to Rookie of the Year candidate Corey Seager. Another former Wahoo who was traded this season was outfielder Brandon Guyer, who left the struggling Tampa Bay Rays and joined the playoff hopeful Cleveland FROM UVA TO THE SHOW Here is the list of former Cavaliers that played in the major leagues this season. Javier Lopez (1996-98) RP 14th San Francisco Giants Had a 1-3 record with one save and a 4.10 ERA in 67 relief appearances.
