FOOTBALL TAILGATE IN OREGON
Cavalier fans from all over the country gathered to support the football team when
they took on the Oregon Ducks on Sept. 10. The Virginia Athletics Foundation and UVA
Clubs partnered to sponsor a pregame tailgate for nearly 300 alumni, donors and fans.
The event featured music, entertaining acts and great food, including complimentary ice
cream provided by an alumnus of the University.
Fun door prizes were distributed including a signed copy of Coach Mendenhall's book,
Running into the Wind: Bronco Mendenhall–5 Strategies for Building a Successful Team,
a football signed by Coach Mendenhall and two football suite tickets donated by Virginia
Athletics. Athletics Director Craig Littlepage welcomed the group and Cav Man and the
cheerleaders led fans in spirited cheers.
It was special to see so much enthusiasm from our loyal 'Hoos at the tailgate and game.
