CAVALIER TAILGATE IN TEXAS UVa alumni and friends from 16 states traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, to share their passion for UVa
and to cheer on the Cavaliers in the Sept. 22 football game versus TCU. As part of the Texas Tailgate Weekend, the Virginia Athletics Foundation co-hosted a post-game Cavalier Tailgate with the Office of Engagement. More than 400 Hoos braved the
Texas heat to reconnect with fellow alumni at the Cavalier Tailgate after the football game, including former Cavalier football players:

Everyone enjoyed the music, Texas brisket and other state-themed fa- vorites. In addition to the Tailgate, the
weekend was packed with other events including a Wahoo Wel- come hosted by several UVa Clubs in Texas, a private reception with President Sullivan, a special panel discussion led by several Deans and a sendoff brunch. It was a lively weekend and wonderful to see so many UVa fans and alumni travel to support the Hoos.
