At the same time, this group has already had eight guys trans- fer out — some because they weren't great fits and others because they were buried on the depth chart — for a 34.8 percent attrition rate. Here is a breakdown of what each player has done to this point: Recruiting Name Pos. Stars REECE ATTEBERRY OL ★★★★ Played in just one game his first year before appearing in eight in 2021, includ- ing four at right guard. Despite suffering a leg injury in the spring, he is battling for a spot at guard on the two-deep. BLAKE CORUM RB ★★★★ Started one of his six games as a fresh- man, carrying the ball 26 times for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns and catching 5 passes for 73 yards. He broke out in 2021, rushing 143 times for 952 yards and 11 scores in 12 games. He also added 24 receptions for 141 yards and 1 TD. He is receiving all kinds of preseason accolades heading into the 2022 campaign and is slated to start at running back. EAMONN DENNIS WR/CB ★★★ Appeared in just three games on special teams last season after redshirting as a freshman. He made the switch to wide receiver this offseason but still has work to do to earn playing time, with that posi- tion group being plenty loaded. Eight players have already transferred just two years in, which brings down the group's stature a bit. Still, though, eight or more will likely start games on offense or defense this fall.
