commitment profile: matt dickerson "Coach Denbrock has been recruiting me for a long time, but he told me that he needed to lock up a visit for me before they could offer," Dickerson said. "I guess they wanted to make sure that I was serious about my interest in going to school here. I think this worked out perfectly, and he and I are both excited about how this process ended." Per the 247Composite (a compilation of the major recruiting rankings), Dickerson is the No. 34 recruit in California, the No. 27 defensive tackle in the land and the No. 327 overall prospect nationally. ✦ Film Analysis Strengths Matt Dickerson has the speed, quickness and agility to be a tremendous pass rusher down the road … His strongest asset is his quickness … He has the size, frame and long arms to move over to defensive tackle and contribute … His ability to bend and get low allows him to gain leverage when rushing from the middle … Although he's 6-5 and 275 pounds, he physically hasn't scratched the surface of what he can become in a few years. Areas To Improve Strength and power are the biggest areas that will prevent him from contributing in year one at Notre Dame … He is lean and looks more like a basketball player at this point … He has great potential and will be most successful after a few years in a collegiate weight room … He is a project that could pay off greatly down the road once his body develops. — Tom Loy
