who had posted a team-high 121 kills, as of Sept. 23.

cia Pankratz returned to Ann Arbor in
2009 (after coaching Michigan from
1996-2004 and winning the program's
only national title in 2001), the Wolverines have won two Big Ten regularseason titles, captured a Big Ten Tournament title and gone to three straight
NCAA Tournaments.
And women's soccer head coach
Greg Ryan led Michigan to a 16-5-3
record last year (the second-most wins
in program history) and to the third
round of the NCAA Tournament for
the first time since 2003.
"It's very exciting to watch other
team's results," Daley said. "Seeing
Marcia with field hockey, Greg with
women's soccer and Mark with volleyball, you are inspired and motivated to be at your best.
"It's a friendly competition, not
only amongst the coaches but also the
student-athletes. Everyone wants to
wear the Block M proudly. They're not
only representing their teammates, but
everyone who competes for Michigan.
They want to represent the program
and school at the highest standard
they can."
