Larry Foote Recovering From Injury
Foote, who played in 171 of a possible 176 regular-season games between 2002-12, will be
sidelined for the final 15 contests of the 2013 campaign after suffering a torn biceps muscle
in the season opener.

Foote has avoided serious injury
for most of his long NFL career, but
the odds finally caught up to him
in early September. The Pittsburgh
Steelers' veteran starter felt a sting
in his arm in a season-opening 16‑9
loss to Tennessee, initially thinking
it might have been a cramp. Instead
it proved to be a torn bicep muscle,
one that will sideline him for the
season.
Foote told CBS Radio 93.7 The
Fan in Pittsburgh that watching his
teammates play during a 20‑10 loss
at Cincinnati Sept. 16 was "the last
hurdle I had to put my mind at rest"
about the injury — being able to
watch a game without playing in it.
"It's Monday Night Football, so
you want to be with the guys. I think
I could have helped," Foote said.
"But to say we would have won if
I had played — I'm not going to
stroke my ego like that. It is difficult
to watch them lose."
