in tackles with 25. A defensive back has not finished as Michigan's top tackler since safety Jamar Adams had 92 in 2007. The only cornerback since 1968 (U-M records only go back that far) to lead the team in tackles was Allen Bishop in 1987 (82). • Michigan's offense has had 61 turnovers by in its last 30 games; U-M has gone just two of Brady Hoke's 30 contests as head coach without a turnover. • Devin Gardner had a pass efficiency rating of 166.26 in Michigan's first two games against Central Michigan and Notre Dame, but then for U-M's third and fourth games against Akron and Connecticut, his pass efficiency rating was merely 99.21. Through four games, Gardner had an overall pass efficiency rating of 131.1 Hot 11: Gauging The Performance Of The Wolverines' Best Players Every Monday, TheWolverine.com ranks the 11 best performers from the previous game — the "Hot 11" — and after four games, we've tabulated the results to bring you the top players of the first month. 1. WR Jeremy Gallon (36 points): The fifth-year senior receiver was the steadiest offensive performer the first month, catching everything that came his way en route to a team-high 22 receptions for 328 yards and four touchdowns. He's on pace for 71 grabs, 1,066 receiving yards and 13 scores this season (in a 13-game schedule). 2. QB Devin Gardner (35): Michigan has had to take the good with the bad with Gardner. The redshirt junior led the country in interceptions with eight, and had an additional two fumbles, but he had thrown for seven scores and rushed for five, and led critical fourth-quarter TD drives against Notre Dame, Akron and UConn. 3. TB Fitzgerald Toussaint (34): The fifth-year senior ended a personal 14game streak without a 100-yard effort when he went for 120 yards and two touchdowns in the win over the Huskies. Toussaint had a team-high 319 yards rushing and was versatile out of the backfield too, with five receptions for 64 yards. 4. CB Blake Countess (22): Countess is still not playing to his full potential, making greater strides each week after missing all of last season with an injury. But in four games, he had three interceptions, two tackles for loss and 20 total stops. 5. LB Desmond Morgan (21): The junior provided, perhaps, the best middle linebacker play for U-M since David Harris graduated in 2006. In four games, Morgan ranked second on the team with 24 tackles, including 2.5 for loss,
