commitment profile Film Evaluation Strengths: Crawford's biggest impact is … his impact. Despite his diminutive stature, this kid is a big hitter. Crawford hits opposing ball carriers with his head up, wraps with his arms and rolls his hips through contact. The offensive player stops dead in his tracks more often than not. He also shows excellent speed in the secondary and translates that into coverage ability across the entire field. Areas of Improvement: Despite his physical gifts, the technique — particularly in coverage — of Crawford's game has room for improvement. He relies on speed and power now, and learning excellent eye discipline and hand technique will take his game to the next level. At only 170 pounds, he needs to work in the weight room. His height means that he'll probably never be a 200-pound corner, but he needs more mass to continue being a big hitter at the college level. Michigan Player Comparison: Brandon Harrison was a speedster who had raw technique when he entered Michigan in 2005. Unfortunately, he didn't get the coaching during his career to live up to his potential. His physical tools were excellent, and Crawford should outperform him under the current U-M staff. — Analysis from TheWolverine.com
