He fell to the turf untouched at the end of the return and immediately clutched his left knee. "He made a lot of plays for us," head coach Tom Coughlin said after the injury. "So we'll definitely miss him." Brown finished the 2012 campaign with 76 tackles and eight intercep- tions, returning them 307 yards (38.4 yards per return). He has yet to latch on with another team and isn't getting much interest. He has caught 359 passes for 5,522 yards and 40 touchdowns in nine seasons. Luke Glendening • NHL The former Wolverine, now part of the Detroit Red Wings organization, was recently sent to Grand Rapids, the team's minor league affiliate. He's part of a group that earned praise from general manager Ken Holland, though, and is one to watch. "We're very happy with our young players. We feel we have some very good kids," Holland told The Detroit News. "It's a process, and we've been fortunate in that we haven't had to rush anyone. We let them develop at their own pace."
