RECRUITMENT • Committed to Notre Dame on July 3, 2012, and was the first member of the 2014 recruiting class. • Recruited to Notre Dame by tight ends coach Scott Booker. • Made one unofficial visit in October 2012 and attended Junior Day on March 23, 2013. NOTABLE • Born on June 6, 1995. • All-state pitcher and third basemen in base- ball as a junior, and a starting point guard for the Woodberry Forest basketball team. • Played with current Irish players C.J. Prosise, a sophomore wide receiver, and Doug Randolph, a freshman linebacker, at Woodberry Forest. 2014 PROJECTION • Likely to redshirt during his first season at Notre Dame. His leadership skills, his ability to recognize, and really you have to have leaders. "He's a really good player, and he's a really good leader. You worry about the competition he faced in high school, but he's got the attitude and the work ethic to impress people. He had a bigger frame than I thought.
