Catholic offensive tackle Quenton Nelson committed to Notre Dame way back on May 1, 2013, many fans questioned whether the four-star prospect would actually end up in a Fighting Irish uni- form come National Signing Day. With heavy-hitters like Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford and others com- ing after him, and the fact that Nelson wasn't always talkative with the me- dia, people were always concerned about the strength of his commitment. However, to Nelson, there was never another school on his mind outside of Notre Dame. "It was the place that felt like home. I knew that I was going to end up there for a very long time," the 6-5, 302-pound recruit said. "People don't realize that I actually like Notre Dame as a fan and have always had an eye on the football team since I was young. That's why I have always been so in- terested in the school. "I not a big talker to the media or a big social media guy.
