BY TOM LOY A nother National Signing Day came and went Feb. 5, and Notre Dame pulled in another solid class of recruits. Per 247Sports, the 2014 class ranked No. 10 in the nation, which gives the Irish three top-10 finishes in the last four years. The Fighting Irish reeled in the No. 9 haul in 2011, the No. 18 group in 2012 and the No. 5 class in 2013. Notre Dame is already off to a prom- ising start in the class of 2015. Three four-star prospects have given an early verbal commitment to the Irish, all of them on offense. Shreveport, La., offensive tackle Jerry Tillery was Notre Dame's first, pledging on June 22. Ranked as the No. 80 overall recruit in the nation, the No. 5 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 4 player in Louisiana by 247Sports, Tillery displays excellent size, athleticism and overall talent. The 6-5, 315-pound offensive lineman stays in constant contact with Notre Dame offensive line coach Harry Hi- estand. Corona, Calif., quarterback Blake Barnett became Notre Dame's second commitment, making his announce- ment on Nov. 24. The 6-4, 195-pound recruit took visits to South Bend for HOT START Notre Dame has already landed three four-star prospects in the 2015 class Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab star Nick Brossette is listed as a four-star prospect, the No. 2 player in Louisiana, the No. 3 running back in the nation and the No. 49 overall recruit in the class of 2015 by 247Sports.
