In a perfect world, one would like to sign at least four defensive linemen in each class. True nose guards in the mold of Nix in a 3-4 alignment espe- cially are prized commodities because they are so rare. However, both the 2012 and 2013 Notre Dame recruiting hauls had only two defensive linemen apiece, which now catches up with Tuitt's departure.
