• The exterior design will remain inspired by Knute Rockne's original Notre Dame Stadium. • The number of indoor and outdoor club seats will increase in the project. • A "few changes" will be made to the team locker rooms, though the university was vague on what those would include. • The press release alludes to "minor inconveniences" during the construc- tion on game days along the lines of those experienced during the stadium renovation of the 1990s. • A number of university depart- ments will move to one of the three new buildings added on to Notre Dame Stadium. On the west side, a stu- dent life center featuring undergradu- ate and graduate lounges, student or- ganization offices and recreation and fitness facilities will be added. It will also include an expanded career ser- vices center. The south side will include the De- partment of Music and the Sacred Mu- sic at Notre Dame program, including recital and rehearsal space, classrooms and offices. The east end will house the Depart- ment of Anthropology and the De- partment of Psychology, as well as classrooms, offices, laboratories and a student lounge. Also, a digital media Notre Dame president Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., looks at a model showing the pro- posed renovations to Notre Dame Stadium, which will increase the 80,795 capacity by 3,000 to 4,000 seats.
