"You've got a men's and women's facility with two gyms and a number of baskets," Brey said. "Maybe there are two courts. The nice thing is to have eight baskets in a practice facility and have room to spread out. We do a lot with two-man drills, big and perimeter together. "We use the media interview room as our film room now. We make it work, but sometimes people come through the door. "[We would like to] have a film room with 20 seats that is convenient to the locker room that is convenient to the offices. I'm always after our guys in the offseason to try and get them to come through our office. I don't see them as regularly as during the season. I don't see them every day in practice. With the practice facility, you control that traffic. "Georgia had a situation where all the guys had to come through the office to get to the locker room to get to the practice facility. I like that. They can't hide from me. It's not to find a guy because he missed class, it's to interact and build relationships." Brey said the lack of a state-of-the-art facility at Notre Dame does not affect recruiting as much as the current players. "The way this program works, we have four- and five-year guys that are going to get better in the offsea- son and need reps and are gym rats," Brey said. "It's who we've been. You need to have a place you can get into. You need to have practice space. "To have that for how we do our program [would be great] — where you can get in at anytime and you have a number of baskets and you can work on your game. The assistants can conveniently take a guy and say, 'Hey, Demetrius [Jackson], in between class at 11 a.m. for 30 minutes we're going to work on some post feeds and stuff.' That's the area we can see even more progress." — Andrew Owens Authentic Notre Dame Helmets by Authentic "Speed" Full-Size Display Helmets Riddell's ND "Speed" helmet features a large-size shell, special-order facemask worn by most of the star players who choose to wear the Speed, internal padding reflective of the "Speed Classic" design, and 4-pt. chinstrap.
