THEY SAID IT Brian Kelly's Comments: "Really love the way Jimmy has progressed, especially his senior year. We liked Jimmy last year. He was an early offer for us and committed, and then really had a great senior year from our standpoint. Physical, moves his feet well." Tom Lemming Of Prep Football Report: "I love him. He was all-state two years running now. He played tackle in high school and will play guard at Notre Dame. He is just like fellow Irish signee Quenton Nelson, maybe a little bit smaller when you compare their frames. "Jimmy Byrne is a blue collar, tough-as-nails offensive lineman. He was injured a bit this year, still played through his injuries and earned all- state while playing for one of the better pro- grams in the Midwest. When he's healthy, he dominates." St. Ignatius Head Coach Chuck Kyle: "You're deal- ing with a very, very humble, hardworking young man with just the attitude you like for offensive linemen."
