a Detroit native who played college football at Mississippi State and spent five seasons in the NFL, most recently with the Detroit Lions in 2012. "Lance has a facility near my school, and a couple of my team- mates and I go there and do speed training, weight lifting and get a full workout there. "It is really great. At the end of the workouts, we always do one-on-ones, and I go against him. He was a re- ceiver in the NFL, so that is definitely good competition. I am learning a lot from him. It gives me a chance to compete with some great athletes, which gives me an advantage." And he is excited to be a part of an incoming linebacker corps that includes four-star prospects Michael Ferns and Chase Winovich, and three-star recruit Noah Furbush. "It will be really competitive, which I like, because competition brings out the best in everyone," Wangler said. "We will all make each other better. Coach Mattison, the type of defense he has, there is a lot of rotation, so there will be com- petition for playing time, and it will make everyone better. "The four of us have all gotten to know each other pretty well. We took our official together. I have probably been around Mike Ferns the most, because we were roommates at the Under Armour game together.
