MICHIGAN BASKETBALL • The win over Wofford lifted the Wolverines to a 2-0 all-time record against the Spartanburg, S.C., school. The Terriers' 40 points stands as the fewest ever scored against Michigan in NCAA Tournament competition. • Michigan limited Wofford to a season-low 1-of-19 shooting on three- pointers. Meanwhile, fifth-year senior Jordan Morgan matched a season high with 10 rebounds. • Sophomore Nik Stauskas passed former Wolverine Robbie Reid (1998-99) for eighth place on Michigan's all-time list for three-pointers made. His first triple against Wofford moved him up, and Stauskas moved his career mark to 163, the most for a Michigan player in two seasons since Louis Bullock notched 171. • Stauskas also surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his Michigan career, mak- ing him the 48th player in U-M basketball history to achieve that feat. • Michigan's 79-65 win over Texas in the NCAA Tournament's round of 32 in Milwaukee not only put the Wolverines into the Sweet 16 for the second straight season, it marked head coach John Beilein's 700th career victory. U-M hadn't made consecutive Sweet 16s since the 1992-93-94 seasons. • The Wolverines squared their all-time series with Texas at 2-2. In the last meeting between the schools, also in Milwaukee's Bradley Center, Texas knocked the Wolverines out of the 1996 NCAA Tournament, 80-66. • Michigan went 14 of 28 on three-point shots against Texas. The 14 triples marked the most in U-M history during an NCAA Tournament contest. Staus- kas set a personal record with eight assists in the win. • Morgan stood out against Texas' burly front line, playing a career-high 35 minutes, scoring 15 points and adding 10 rebounds. The rebounds once again matched a career best, and Morgan became Michigan's first player to record back-to-back double-doubles since Mitch McGary did so versus VCU and Kan- sas in last year's NCAA Tournament. • Morgan boosted his career rebounding total to 707 with his effort against the Longhorns. In so doing, he surpassed Chris Webber for 15th place on Michigan's career list. • The Wolverines' 73-71 win over Tennessee in the Sweet 16 March 28 gave them 28 wins, marking only the fifth time in school history that the men's bas- ketball squad reached that number. It also assured an Elite Eight appearance for the 13th time at Michigan. • Michigan moved to 6-5 in the all-time series against Tennessee, after post- ing its third consecutive win. The Wolverines last beat the Volunteers in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, 75-45. • The Wolverines snapped the old record for team three-pointers in a season. U-M eclipsed the previous mark of 305, and emerged from the win over Ten-
