MICHIGAN BASKETBALL Favorite ESPN Analyst: "Bill Walton is my favorite. I'm hooked on him right now." Asked if he was going to get in trouble with his father, ESPN college basketball analyst Dan Dakich, Andrew replied: "No, I told him. I tweeted at him about it before." Favorite Meal I Can Make By Myself: "I can't really cook. Probably scrambled eggs or PB&J. That's all I've got in me." Favorite Restaurant In Ann Arbor: "Zingerman's Roadhouse." Best Michigan Memory So Far: "When I hit my first shot it was pretty special. It may have been Glenn Robinson's shot at the end against Purdue. I thought that ball, on the pass, was in the third row. That was pretty fascinating." Best Athletic Achievement: "I was honorable mention all-state, and we had a pretty tough conference and I was first team. That's probably one of my best." Favorite Sport Outside Basketball: "It used to be baseball, but I'm learning toward football now, just because it's big here. I enjoy watching the games. I play backyard football with the guys, and brought a football to college to play. It's fun." Favorite Activity Away From Sports: "I'm big on movies, watching Netflix." Favorite Michigan Football Player: "One of my buddies is Shane Morris, so I'd have to say him." — John Borton Nik Stauskas Clearing Room On The Trophy Shelf Sophomore Nik Stauskas didn't like the way he played in last year's Final Four. So he set about to improve his game, putting countless hours of effort into it during the offseason. If ever hard work paid off in short order, it has in this instance. Stauskas be- came the Big Ten's best player over the course of the season, and has been increasingly recognized as one of the nation's finest on the hardwood. Stauskas has been honored again, making the Wooden Award All-American squad March 31. He joined Creighton's Doug McDermott, Connecticut's Sha- bazz Napier, Wichita State's Cleanthony Early, Arizona's Nick Johnson, Cincin- nati's Sean Kilpatrick, Duke's Jabari Parker, Florida's Casey Prather, Louisville's Russ Smith and Kansas' Andrew Wiggins on the team. Stauskas was also named a 2014 Associated Press second-team All-American. The first-teamers were McDermott, Parker, Smith, Napier and Kilpatrick. Stauskas' extensive list of postseason honors reads as follows: • NABC All-America, first team • Associated Press All-America, second team
