He eventually came back full circle. We're definitely excited that he is in the fold." Selemani, who tallied 31 total points in the last two seasons with the Pioneers, should provide an im‑ mediate offensive boost for the Wol‑ verines. 2. Dmitri Belanovski, men's gymnas- tics: The Wolverines have become the premier program in the country for aspiring all‑around performers. After just one Michigan gymnast claimed the individual all‑around national championship in the first 65 years of the program (Gil LaRose, 1963), a Wolverine has won the award in four of the last five years (Chris Cam‑ eron, 2010, and Sam Mikulak, 2011, 2013‑14). Belanovski could be the next ath‑ lete in that line. After moving with his family to Milwaukee from Belarus several years ago, Belanovski earned U.S. citizenship in April of last year. His father, Alexander, has been his per‑ sonal gymnastic coach — and he has flourished on the national scene this year. Belanovski scored a 164.8 to win the all‑around title (Elite 17‑18 di‑ vision) at the P&G Championships in August, placing in the top six in every event. At the national event, he also won titles on rings (28.05) and parallel bars (28.05). Belanovski trains with the Swiss Turners Gymnastics Acad‑ emy in Milwaukee, a premier gym‑ nastics club program. "He's a very nice young man, and a very talented athlete," Michigan men's gymnastics coach Kurt Golder said. "He will be a member of the senior national team, and hopefully that pans out to him being an Olym‑ pian in the future. "He can contribute everywhere. He is a good pommel horse swinger. He's a lot like Sam Mikulak. He doesn't stand out in one event, in particular. He is pretty strong across the board. He's a good pommel horse guy. He is really strong on rings. Right now, he is very well balanced. His weakest event right now is prob‑ ably floor." 3. Zac Hall, wrestling: The Wolver‑ ines have been one of the best pro‑ grams on the recruiting trail in the last few seasons, and this class is no different.
