2014 BASKETBALL RECRUITING ISSUE current Utah Jazz guard Trey Burke. "If I get touches I feel like I can make plays," Coleman said in May. "It might not be shooting — it might be making the right passes, talking to other peo- ple, seeing who's open. I'm starting to get a lot more adjusted and acclimated with this team's personnel." All-Ohio Red coach Marcus Gill has noticed, and so have college coaches coast to coast. "He wanted to be a part of a good team where he could help us," Gill said. "He already has all the offers that he needs, so at this point he just wanted to be part of a good team. By adding him, we can be pretty special. "He is an absolutely pro-level shooter. He can do some other things, but he is a big-time shooter. They will get him a little stronger when he gets to college … he'll be able to play off the bounce a little bit more and play off the ball screen." His shooting, though, is one of the reasons many — including the Michi- gan coaches — feel he'd be a great fit in Ann Arbor. Outlook: Michigan was one of the first to make Coleman a priority, but he's slowed things down and now holds offers from Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Indiana, Pur- due, Arizona, Illinois and others. "I have definitely been enjoying it," Coleman said of the process. "My par- ents, my coaches and I have done a good job of keeping it stress free … I'm just kind of analyzing right now. I haven't had a chance to go home and talk it through with my family too much … I'm taking a look at all the schools." He hopes to be a combo guard at the next level, and U-M seems to have a legitimate shot. That said, some believe he would have pledged by now if he were going to. "Michigan is a great school," Cole- man said. "Player development, they are obviously good at that. The aca- demics are great. They had Nik Staus- kas Trey Burke, Darius Morris — there are great guards coming out of that school. I talk to them when I have time, and it is pretty good."
