Denard Robinson and Devin Gardner do/did with the ill-advised throws.
I know the president at Brother Rice well, and he has said that Malzone is
one of the best character kids he has ever seen come out of the school. Kid is a
leader, a stud and tough as nails.
I'm not a "film" expert, but the guy is a winner at everything he does.

• That's exactly what a relative of mine just told me over the phone. He
watched him play. Now my cousin doesn't know anyone from Brother Rice,
but he loves watching high school football and said Malzone is the real deal.
He didn't compare him to Griese, but he said the kid is a gamer and a winner.
I'm trying not to get too excited but I'm happy the kid is coming to Ann Arbor.

• I like the pick up. Local kid, really wants to be at Michigan, and seems to have
the "it" factor, according to those who have watched him play.
Of all the positions, I really like the way we have built some QB depth over the
last couple of years. Hopefully the days of playing a true frosh at QB are over,
unless he is a really special talent. There is something to be said for having
upperclassmen on the field, and to be honest, I can't remember the last time
Michigan fielded a team of predominantly juniors and seniors.

Quarterback commitment Alex Malzone has fans excited because he seems to have
great leadership qualities on and off the field.
