Notre Dame has done a good job with its recruiting at the wide receiver and tight ends positions over the past few seasons. In 2013, the Irish signed wide receivers Torii Hunter Jr., Will Fuller, Co- rey Robinson and James Onwualu (who has since moved to linebacker). They also brought in Durham Smythe and Mike Heuerman at tight end. The Irish followed that up with Justin Brent and Corey Holmes at wide receiver in 2014, along with Weishar and Tyler Luatua at tight end. "The depth chart definitely played a factor early on," Boykin said. "I was a little worried about the amount of qual- ity receivers and tight ends Notre Dame had on the roster, and then I quickly FILM ANALYSIS Strengths Miles Boykin possesses an outstanding combi- nation of size and speed … He's 6-4, 220 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 to 4.5 seconds … Due to his length, he has a tremendous catch radius and high-points the football well … Does a good job of getting up the field after he catches the ball … Has the athleticism to make people miss in the open field … His hands are huge and it allows him to catch the ball with ease … A will- ing blocker, which will allow him to contribute early at receiver and tight end. Areas For Improvement Needs to become a more polished route run- ner … Has a great deal of success at the high school level due to his athleticism, size and lack of elite competition … Although he's 220 pounds, he's thin and needs to continue adding weight and strength. — Tom Loy
