FOOTBALL RECRUITING other side of the ball. This summer, he's had the opportunity to play more wide receiver during seven-on-seven action, and he's impressed with his ability to get downfield and high-point the ball in traffic. Cole's ranking is still up in the air, thanks to how little he's been seen at his future position. He showed this sum- mer that he can run routes to get open, and with more ex- perience (and variety in the patterns he's asked to run) he should only continue to improve. We've seen from his high school days that he is electric once he gets the ball in his hands, so there are few questions there. Depending on his use — and production — as a senior, he has the potential to move up the rankings as a wide receiver or athlete prospect. TE CHRIS CLARK 6-5, 253 • Avon (Conn.) He's also used as a blocker for the Beavers, something that very few elite tight end prospects have experience with entering college. Clark was dominant at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge this summer, showing off a bigger physique without los- ing any of the athleticism that has made him a special pass catcher at the tight end position. Clark should continue to rise with the performances he's already put in this summer, even if he doesn't produce big numbers during his final high school campaign. However, with Old Farms losing its top five rushers but returning a solid junior quarterback, Clark will probably take on a bigger role offensively. He doesn't need to show
