M ichigan's 2015 recruiting class is rounding into form, with 10 commitments before the season even begins. The Wolverines also have a few indications of when the next player may join the group. Several top re- maining targets have estab- lished official commitment timelines. Memphis (Tenn.) White- haven outside linebacker Joshua McMillon will an- nounce his college decision Aug. 22 in a ceremony at his high school. Alabama and Michigan are consid- ered the front-runners, with the Tide likely on top. Ole Miss, Auburn and Vander- bilt are also still in con- tention. McMillon (6-3, 246 pounds) is ranked as Tennessee's No. 6 rising senior, the No. 10 weakside defensive end (though all schools are recruiting him as a linebacker) in the nation and the No. 223 overall player in the class of 2015. Just one week later, a player who seems to have an even greater likeli- hood of ending up in the Maize and Blue will make his own decision. Lin- colnton (N.C.) High four-star Darian Roseboro is the No. 7 strongside de- fensive end and No. 79 overall player in the nation, and at 6-4, 283 pounds he has the frame to play defensive tackle and the quickness to play on the edge. Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Tennessee are also on the table. The third-best 2015 player in North Carolina is ex- pected to pick a school at an Aug. 29 ceremony at his school. Another defensive lineman will wait just a bit longer before making his college decision. Sleeper defensive end Jalen Bates, a three- star recruit and the No. 28 strongside defensive end in the nation, will make his college decision Sept. 26. Arizona State, Louisiana- Lafayette (the hometown school for the Kaplan, La., native), Mississippi State and Texas Tech are still in play. The 6-5, 235-pounder hopes to officially visit Michigan for the Sept. 19 Utah game before making his choice. U-M has recruited him as a weakside end. If U-M lands any of the three play- ers, it will be a boost to the 2015 class. Each plays (or is being recruited to play) a position that is considered a remaining need for the Wolverines. TOP TARGETS TRIM LISTS Although they may not have deci- sion dates set, some of Michigan's top targets moved a step closer to ending the process over the course of the sum- mer. Trimming a list of scholarships — which for the best prospects can include upwards of 60 schools — to a more manageable list helps them focus on the select few contenders before picking just one.
