INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS D.J. WILSON ON INJURED LIST FOR FOUR TO SIX WEEKS Michigan freshman forward D.J Wilson will miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his right pinky finger, head coach John Beilein confirmed. "This is an unfortunate injury for D.J.," Beilein said. "However, we have the best training and medical staff here at U-M, so we know he is in good hands. We anticipate a speedy recovery, so D.J. will be back and at 100 percent when we start our September workouts." Wilson will travel to Italy with the team Aug. 15-24, but will not be able to compete. He's coming off a senior season at Capital Christian School in Sacramento, Calif., in which he aver- aged 13.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. U-M also unveiled further informa- tion about its early-season tournament in November. The Wolverines will host a regional of the 2014 Legends Classic, before moving on to Brooklyn, N.Y. The championship rounds will be played at the Barclays Center. The Wolverines welcome Bucknell to Crisler Center Nov. 17 and Detroit Nov. 20 in the Ann Arbor Regional. Bucknell went 16-14 last season, finish- ing fourth in Patriot League play with an 11-7 record. Detroit, meanwhile, finished with a 13-19 mark, although the Titans gave North Carolina State a scare in Raleigh, losing 82-79. Life gets tougher for the Wolverines Nov. 24, when they take on Oregon at the Barclays Center at 9 p.m., the game to be televised on ESPN3. Or- egon went 24-10 a year ago, getting bounced by Wisconsin in the third round of the NCAA Tournament in Milwaukee. If Michigan can get by the Ducks, it will face the winner of the Villanova- VCU contest in the title game. A third-place game is slated for 7:30 p.m. on ESPNU Nov. 25, with the championship game to follow at 10 on ESPN2. Michigan stands 2-0 at the Barclays Center, knocking off West Virginia in 2012 and Stanford last season.
