eligible to play this fall. Josh Furman — The Annapolis, Md., native saw the most extensive action of his career in 2013, appear- ing in four games defensively with three starts at safety. He tallied 11 tackles and broke up a pass. How- ever, with limited opportunity at Michigan for 2014, he transferred to Oklahoma State and will compete to start at linebacker for the Cowboys after earning immediate eligibility. Ray Vinopal — The defensive back spent one season at Michigan be- fore transferring to Pittsburgh. He sat out the 2011 campaign, and then appeared in all 13 games in 2012. In 2013, he started 12 games at safety and was named an honorable men- tion All-ACC selection after record- ing 83 tackles, three interceptions and six passes broken up. He returns to Pitt for a fifth year slated to com- mand the secondary. Wil- liamson. Completed eligibility: Defensive back Courtney Avery; defensive tackle Jibreel Black; cornerback Cul- len Christian (Pittsburgh); wide re- ceiver Drew Dileo; safety Carvin Johnson (Hampton); wide receiver Jeremy Jackson; tight end Ricardo Miller (Massachusetts); tight end Jordan Paskorz; and safety Marvin Robinson (Ferris State). REPORT CARD — D The sheer volume of early depar- tures brings the grade down for this class, and it doesn't help that the lone season Michigan can highlight over the past six — the 2011 campaign in which U-M won the Sugar Bowl — was largely absent of any contribu- tion from the 2010 class outside of Jake Ryan and Will Hagerup. Those two, plus Devin Gardner, have a chance to leave a much more positive impression, but unless they lead the Maize and Blue to a Big Ten championship, the 2010 cohort will almost always be associated with the misery they created and left in Ann Arbor. ❏ 2010 Class Overview Players In Class: 27 Rivals.com Team Ranking: No. 20 Players Still At Michigan: 3 Name Pos. Stars Devin Gardner QB 4 Comment: Looking for a consistent season in his second year as Michi- gan's full-time starting quarterback. Will Hagerup P 3 Comment: Poised to regain his start- ing spot at punter after sitting out the 2013 season due to off-field issues. Jake Ryan LB 3 Comment: Moves to middle line- backer (from strongside) and will an- chor the defense's pursuits.
