The quarterbacks pass by Tom Brady, and no doubt ponder his three Super Bowl victories with the New England Patriots, following a hard-fought battle to the starting job at Michigan. The remake of Schembechler Hall served many practical purposes, providing necessary upgrades in facilities. It also offered some stylistic cohesion, the brick and glass exterior melding better with the athletic campus surroundings. It now ties seamlessly into the $26-million Al Glick Fieldhouse, Michigan's cavernous indoor practice facility. But there's no lack of symbolism, everywhere you look.
