GAME PREVIEW: SYRACUSE BY LOU SOMOGYI EXPERIENCE VS. YOUTH The top strength of the Orange might be its veteran look, particularly in the trenches. Whereas Notre Dame doesn't start a single senior along its defensive line, three of the four starters there for Syra- cuse are seniors, and it might be the strongest unit on the team on paper. Six of the Orange defensive front seven are seniors, notably returning starting linebackers Cameron Lynch and Dys- hawn Davis providing some speed in the middle. Offensively, four of the five start- ing linemen are seniors, although the Orange averaged only 22.7 points per game last season to rank 100th in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
