PREP PROFILES Virginia Tech Commit Will Take Official Visit To Michigan Michigan only has one true corner- back committed in the 2015 class in four-star Garrett Taylor of Richmond, Va., but the coaching staff has made it clear that they'd like to add at least one more. Mook Reynolds has been committed to Virginia Tech since Feb- ruary, but he's made it clear that he is still looking around. The Michigan coaching staff and Reynolds have shown a mutual interest in one another that will officially come together Oct. 11, when Reynolds checks out Ann Arbor for the first time to see the Wolverines host the Nittany Lions. "I plan to come up and take an of- ficial visit the night we play Penn State," Reynolds said. "That's the only time that I really know that I'll be in Michigan. That's the only official visit I'll take that I know of." Reynolds credited his main Michi- gan recruiter, cornerbacks coach Roy Manning, for his strong attraction to the Wolverines. "Coach Manning is a really cool guy," Reynolds explained. "He's real young, real cool. It's just easy to talk to him. He knows what we're [recruits] talking about. He's modern to what we like as teenagers. He's just really easy to build a relationship with." While Manning seems to be a whiz at building relationships with recruits, Reynolds knows he's not the only person or thing he'll interact with at Michigan. "Michigan is a tremendous school that produces big- time corners," he explained. "It's just a legacy of Michigan football, the program. A lot of historic things have happened within that pro- gram. I wouldn't want to pass up a chance to be a part of that." Reynolds would be a welcome ad- dition to a young and talented posi- tion group at Michigan. As a junior, he picked off three passes, tallied two quarterback sacks and piled up 80 tackles (13 for loss). The way he plays seems to fit perfectly with what the U-M coaches want on defense. "Reynolds is a mean, aggressive cornerback and isn't afraid of any re- ceiver he might line up against," Ri- vals.com national recruiting director Mike Farrell said. Reynolds hasn't made up his mind quite yet, but he knows when he will. "Signing day," he declared. "If I change my mind, it'll be a surprise on that day." — Brandon Brown ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ Nor thern Guilford High School Greensboro, N.C.
