INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS Arbor the following year. Other future big-name opponents in- clude Florida for a neutral-site affair in Arlington, Texas, for the 2017 opener; Arkansas in 2018-19; Virginia Tech in 2020-21; UCLA in 2022-23; and Okla- homa in 2025-26. The Huskies' addi- tion means the Wolverines will play two non-conference teams that rank among the top 25 teams in NCAA all-time win- ning percentage in the same year — Washington (No. 18) and Virginia Tech (No. 21). Though dates have yet to be finalized, there's been specula- tion the games would occur in the early 2020s. Orangebloods.com writer Anwar Rich- ardson confirmed through sources in the Lone Star State that both schools have discussed the possibility of facing each other, but an agreement has not been finalized. They are currently work- ing on scheduling, and talks between both schools have gone well. Michigan and Texas have faced each other only once, in 2004.
