FOOTBALL RECRUITING OFFENSIVE LINEMEN PARKER BOUDREAUX Orlando, Fla. • Bishop Moore Catholic H.S. Measurables: Listed at 6-5, 291 pounds. Rankings: Rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals. com, ESPNU and 247 Sports … Ranked as the No. 7 guard in the country by 247Sports … Rated as the No. 14 offensive tackle in the country by ESPNU. Statistics/Honors: Helped lead Bishop Moore to a 14-1 record and a state runner-up finish … Named to the Max Preps Medium School All-Amer- ican second team and Junior All-American second team … Named to The Orlando Sentinel All-Central Florida team … Named to the American Family Insurance Florida All-State team. Recruitment: Plans on visiting Notre Dame June 10-11 … Claims more than 70 scholarship offers, but recently trimmed his list down to 10 schools … Notre Dame made his final list along with Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Southern, Iowa, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Penn State. BGI's Take: Boudreaux is one of the most physical and aggressive linemen in the entire country. The Bishop Moore tackle comes off the line looking to plow through defenders. He plays the game with good pad level and explodes his hips through contact in the run game, allowing him to get strong movement at the point of attack. Boudreaux has long arms and quick hands for a lineman, allowing him to get his hands inside defenders and to get ex- tension upon contact. Once he locks on a defender his strong hands allow him to stay engaged and his active feet help him to bury defenders. Boudreaux is not a high-level athlete, but he does an excellent job of working his feet through contact and playing with a good base. There is little doubt that he will thrive in the run game at the college level, but in order to stay at tackle he will need to improve his technique in the pass game, where his lack of ideal speed and lateral quickness are a concern. This is why guard might end up being his best position. BEN BREDESON Hartland, Wis. • Arrowhead H.S. Measurables: Listed at 6-4, 280 pounds. Rankings: Consensus four-star offensive lineman and No. 1 player in Wisconsin … Listed as the No. 21 player nationally by Scout.com, and No. 29 by 247Sports, No. 41 by Rivals.com and No. 53 by ES- PNU … Ranked as the No. 1 guard in the country by Scout.com … Considered the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com, and No. 4 by ESPNU and No. 7 by 247Sports. Statistics/Honors: Led Arrowhead team to a 10-4 record and a trip to the state championship game … Named a Max Preps first-team Junior All-Amer- ican … Named to the Division I all-state first team. Recruitment: Has offers from programs like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Stanford and Tennessee … Final list consists of Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio State … In-state Badgers will be tough to beat, but Notre Dame and Michigan are pushing hard. BGI's Take: Bredeson compares favorably to for- mer Notre Dame standout and current Dallas Cow- boys offensive lineman Zack Martin. Bredeson is a shade under 6-4 and weighs only 280 pounds, but what he lacks in ideal size he makes up for with a tremendous all-around game. Bredeson has good arm length, which helps him handle the edge de- spite his lack of height. He has exceptionally quick feet, good agility and impressive lateral quickness. His athletic traits make him one of the nation's top pass blockers. Bredeson's ability to mirror and handle speed and quick double moves are excep- tional, and as he develops in the weight room his ability to hold off the power rushes will be there as well. In the run game, he uses his quickness and low pad level to win the leverage battle. Bredeson fires off the ball well, has a strong punch and shows active feet, which he uses to get very good movement at the point of attack. These traits allow him to dominate in the run game and play bigger than his listed size. LIAM EICHENBERG Cleveland • St. Ignatius H.S. Measurables: Listed at 6-5, 284 pounds.
