2012 DEPTH CHART PROJECTED A First Look At How The Wolverines Will Line Up Next Season M BY MICHAEL SPATH ichigan will return seven starters offensively next season, including quar- terback Denard Robinson and tailback Fitzgerald Toussaint. Defensively, U-M brings back eight starters, including its entire line- backer corps and secondary. How- ever, there are some holes to fill. Here is a look at an early forecast of what the 2012 depth chart could be. The Wolverine will provide an updated two-deep after spring practice and this summer in our annual Football Preview. Class years listed are for the 2012 campaign. Offense Wide Receiver JEREMY GALLON 5-8, 185, Redshirt Junior Gallon finished second on the team in receptions (31) and yards (453) while ranking third with his three touchdown catches. Though not an ideal outside re- ceiver because of his small stature, Gallon proved a big-play tar- get, recording seven grabs of 20 yards or more, second only to Junior Hemingway's 12 in 2011. Junior Jeremy Jackson (6-3, 198 pounds) and redshirt sophomore Jerald Robinson (6- 1, 206) are both of the age, and U-M has the need, that they must begin contrib- uting, too. Jeremy Jackson, 6-3, 198, Junior Wide Receiver ROY ROUNDTREE 6-0, 177, Fifth-Year Senior Roundtree's production fell off consid- erably from a year ago, when he made 72 grabs for 935 yards and seven scores. He just never seemed to find his niche, 36 THE WOLVERINE FEBRUARY 2012 In 2011, Jeremy Gallon ranked second on the Wolverines in catches (31) and receiving yards (453), while finishing third in touchdown receptions (three).
