At St. Vincent, he claimed singles and doubles titles at the SVGTA IFT Junior International tournament. The Tennis Recruiting Network has had him ranked as high as No. 18 in the nation. Schalet matriculated at the Newark Academy in Montville, N.J. "Myles will be a real impact player for us," offered Michigan tennis coach Adam Steinberg. "He's a tremendous talent and a great kid that I've gotten to know since I took over last year. Myles is excited he's coming. He's got great experience on the national stage in his junior career, and I look for him to really be a great player for us." Ben Hill, track and cross country — Hill, a magna cum laude scholar from nearby Royal Oak High School, was rated No. 2 in the state of Michigan as a senior cross country runner. However, a stress fracture in his foot kept him out of the postseason, including the state finals, but he returned in the outdoor track season to finish third in the state for the 1,600-meter run.
