BASKETBALL RECRUITING "The kid has been out of sight all season," Cornerstone head coach Derrick Edwards told The Detroit News. The junior camped at Michigan over the summer and played well with his team, but he's taken his game to another level. "He's versatile and athletic," Hunter said. "You can compare his game to former Michigan native Josh Jackson's [Rivals.com's No. 1 player in the class of 2017] game [in style]. He has the size and skill set to play either shooting guard or small for- ward. "Jackson has that ability to make others better, something Cain is still learning, but offensively he is a much improved shooter catching the ball and finishes at the rim strong." Michigan watched Cain this sum- mer, and his stock has continued to rise dramatically. Head coach John Beilein was in Pontiac Feb. 19 to watch him play, but Xavier seems to have an "in." Current Musketeers Jalen Reynolds and Edmond Sumner are both from Michigan, and Cain visited the Cincinnati-based school in early March. Cain is working on setting up visits in the upcoming months.
